the orginal contract said 6 days, she has never paid me the gas money, she never rented the gear I needed and now she is threatening me to take away my credit (big deal) if i don't work four more days.
Can you belived this? Too bad I never signed her silly contract. Any DPs out there want to take over?
As you can imagine, this was for free, I have no one to blame but myself.

How about these conditions. i get you nothing on that list that you
sent me, and you work with the lights that you have been given. You
give me the 4 days that we need to complete the picture, as
contracted. Or we hire another DP to complete the film and let him
take credit for your amazing photography. You have til Monday to give
me your response.

Hello, this is [NAME REMOVED]. In regards to your posting that was posted on January 30, 2008 about the ad I posted on Craigs List... I was also a victim of this production company. I was working under Nu-Lite Entertainment for solely a week when I walked out due to the fact that they were not going to pay me as promised. I was overworked and I agree that this production company should be black listed. I would appreciate if my name/email was removed from this posting as if I did something wrong, because I am not one of their employees nor am I associated with them at all. The posting was made because I was told to recruit more people on the day they hired me. At the time I did not know what I had gotten myself into but as the week went on I was being extremely taken advantage of.

Yes, these guys are bad news though there's worse out there. If you absolutely have to have your name on a feature do one with them but they will lie then treat you badly even when there's no benefit for them to do so. It's just their nature.

they are thieves!!! especially that horacio blackwood. we did a deal together and i gave him 100k and havent seen him since. he doesnt answer my calls anymore and he has seemed to move from his last location. he guaranteed me my money was save and that he was a big wig in the industry. please if anyone has any info on this guy please the me know.

I got shafted by Nu Lite too.
The whole crew did and they never paid the locations either...one was a church!
Bad Karma all around.
The only "nu Lite" they shed is the same old same old LA shell game under the guise of "spiritual entertainment."
The best advice is, DO YOUR HOME WORK BEFORE YOU EVER AGREE TO ANYTHING.
THEN, GET IT IN WRITING.
BE A PROFESSIONAL FROM THE BEGINNING AND NEVER EVER WORK FOR FREE OR ALLOW ANYONE BULLY YOU OR MAKE YOU FEEL SORRY FOR THEMb/c they are just getting started o for any other reason.
Even well intentioned doumentaries and student films have a budget!
The only way abuse can happen is if you allow it.

Hello all. First off I would like to say, It bothers me that one person could cause so much frustration and misuse of position. I have heard this one name over and over again. Christina Johnson has not worked for NuLite since 08 however, her name still lingers as she has left a sour taste for a few. I know this because I was also skeptical about working with them and had to ask many questions regarding the post on this site. Since 09 I have worked on 7 films and has never had a problem. What I recommend is reaching out to some names off of Imd that have worked for them and checking before going off of this site and losing out on a possible opportunity. Christina Johnson worked on 2 project and 2 alone. One more note. I have never met a Horacio.
